For more than ten years, the Midas building on Huttleston Ave sat closed. In June 2021, the Wall Group took it over and rebuilt it from the inside out: new lifts, a new customer waiting room, and a full rehab of the whole building. Drivers who had passed the empty shop on Route 6 for years finally had a locally owned service center back in Fairhaven.
The location itself goes back a long way. A Midas has stood on this spot for nearly four decades. [One of our technicians first worked here as an 18-year-old, decades before the building went dark. Today he’s back at the same address.]

In March 2018 he took ownership of his first location in North Dartmouth, and the Wall Group has since grown to five Midas locations across SouthCoast Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Fairhaven was a different kind of project. Instead of taking over a running shop, Matthew took on a building that had been closed for years and rebuilt it. When the new lifts arrived, they came on a Sunday, the team’s day off. His crew showed up to help unload them anyway, without being asked. That’s the kind of team he’s built: one that treats each other, and customers, like family.
